There is no stopping the heart of a community of people who come together to benefit each others’ lives. We were able to harness the generosity of a community consisting of more than 200 dedicated people who gave from the heart to raise $80,000 dollars through a Kickstarter campaign toward building a free walk-in movie theater at Proxy. We thank all of those who donated to the project; your support illustrates there’s a real desire to have the proposed walk-in movie facility. That is why we are not daunted by the fact we did not meet our intended $150,000 goal.
Your support also highlighted what is possible when we join forces, and that’s why over the last year we’ve been working closely to create a 501(c)3 non-profit organization named Here For Now (HFN) that will harness all our strengths and use it to help stimulate other underutilized cities.
Of course, one of HFN’s first initiative is to resume fundraising efforts to realize our goal of the walk-in-theatre at Proxy. We believe that together we can make our under-used urban areas into spaces that benefit our lives. You can submit an entirely tax-deductible donation at HFN’s website.
Thank you all for your continued, generous support. We look forward to sharing popcorn with you in our walk-in movie theatre at Proxy.
